DAY PACKAGE
CAPE TOWN / GARDEN ROUTE / SUN

DAY ONE
On your arrival at Johannesburg International Airport
you will be met and
vouchers will be exchanged. You will then bedirected to the Domestic
departures where you will check in for your flight to Cape Town
.
On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel / guesthouse where
assistance to check in will be offered. Rest of the day at leisure. (B)
DAY TWO
Today enjoy the Table Mountain & Cape Peninsula
tour. This tour includes
a trip to the top of the world-renowned Table
Mountain
(Subject to weather
conditions), visit to Hout
Bay
and a visit to the Seal
Island
(also subject to
weather conditions). You will also have the opportunity to visit the
Penguin Colony first hand. The highlight of the tour is viewing where
the Indian & Atlantic oceans meet. Return to hotel / guesthouse and
enjoy the evening at leisure. (B)
DAY THREE
We depart from CapeTown and travel to Worcester
via DuToit’s Kloof
Mountain
pass. At Worcester
we
visit thefascinating open air museum, a live and interesting exhibition
dedicated to the farming community. Lunch is arranged at a restaurant in
Montagu.
We then travel through the mountains to the Little Karoo.
Changing scenery from lush farmland to semi-desert areas, makes this a
day of surprises. A warm welcome awaits us from the staff of the
Riempies Estate Hotel where we overnight. (B, L, D)
DAY FOUR
Awake to the freshness of the Karoo
air. After a good
breakfast we visit the world famous Cango Caves
,
where we take a fascinating guided tour lasting over an hour. We set off
to the Crocodile and Cheetah farm, to see these prehistoric reptiles and
cats.
Even more fascinating is the Highgate Ostrich farm where
we stop for a tour and lunch. The afternoon brings us over the
mountains, through George and Wilderness en route to Knysna. Our
overnight stay is on the water’s edge at the Knysna Quays Hotel. (B, L,
D)
DAY FIVE
After a leisurely breakfast you will have some time to spend on your own
in the quaint village of Knysna . Alternatively our guide will take you
to the Garden of Eden to show you the heart of the Garden Route . Late
morning we set sail on the Knysna Lagoon aboard a private catamaran.
Sailing is one of the traditional modes of transport in this area and
you will be able to enjoy a spectacular view of the area before we
return to Knysna for lunch.
We then join a
real steam train, which travels along one of the world’s most
picturesque rail routes to George. After arrival in George our guide
will transfer you to the King George Hotel
.
Sleep well after a full and exciting day. (B, L, D)
DAY SIX
After breakfast, we depart for Mossel Bay
along the scenic coastal
route. At Mossel
Bay
we visit the historic
Post Office Tree where early navigators left mail for the homebound
ships to Europe
. Our
route to Swellendam, which is full of romantic history, is via farmlands
and rolling hills. In the afternoon our route takes us through charming
Hermanus, seaside retreat of the wealthy and famous. We arrive back in
Cape Town after four fabulous days! Overnight in Cape Town for one
night. (B, L).
DAY SEVEN
Today you will transfer from your hotel / guesthouse to
the airport in time for your flight to Johannesburg. You will be met and
transferred to your hotel / guesthouse in Johannesburg for 3 nights.
Enjoy an optional visit to Monte Casino which you can arrange at your
hotel / guesthouse. (B).
DAY EIGHT
Enjoy a half-day morning tour of Gold Reef City followed
by an afternoon tour of Soweto. Return to the hotel where you may spend
the remainder of the evening at your leisure. (B).
DAY NINE
Today you can enjoy a full day Sun City tour that
includes a tour to the Palace. Return to your hotel / guesthouse and
enjoy the evening at your leisure. (B).
DAY TEN
Transfer to Johannesburg International Airport in time
for your flight home.
