DAY PACKAGE
CAPE TOWN / KRUGER NATIONAL
PARK / SUN CITY / JOHANNESBURG
DAY ONE
On your arrival at Johannesburg International Airport you
will be met and vouchers will be exchanged. You will then be directed
to the Domestic departures where you will check in for your flight to
Cape Town . On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel /
guesthouse where assistance to check in will be offered. Rest of the
day at leisure. (B)
DAY TWO
Today enjoy the Table Mountain & Cape Peninsula
tour. This tour includes
a trip to the top of the world-renowned Table
Mountain
(Subject to weather
conditions), visit to Hout
Bay
and a visit to the Seal
Island
(also subject to
weather conditions). The highlight of the tour is viewing where the
Indian & Atlantic oceans meet. Return to hotel / guesthouse and enjoy
the evening at leisure. (B)
DAY THREE
Today you can enjoy a visit to The Castle as well as a
tour of Roben Island
(subject to weather
conditions). The rest of the afternoon can be spent at your leisure to
explore and enjoy some shopping at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.
You will then be transferred to the airport for your flight to
Johannesburg
. On
arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel / guesthouse.

DAY FOUR
Today you will
check out of your hotel / guesthouse and will be transferred to the
Kruger
National Park
for
two nights. Depart by air-conditioned microbus
from Johannesburg
and
travel east through the highveld farmlands and
Mpumalanga
mountains. Stops will be
made en-route at the historical gold rush
town of Pilgrim
’s
Rest, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and the Three Rondawels.
Refreshment and
lunch stops will also be made before arriving at
Mohlabetsi
Safari Lodge,
situated in the Balule Game Reserve, for overnight.
Enjoy an exciting
open landrover drive - looking for the elusive nocturnal animals.
Dinner will be
served in the ‘Boma’ under the stars. (B, D)
MOHLABETSI SAFARI LODGE
This intimate game lodge is set in the Balule Nature
Reserve, adjoining the Kruger National Park
.
Guests are personally welcomed to this oasis in the bush which offers
rustic thatched en-suite rondawels, set amongst shady trees and a
sparkling pool. A thatched lapa overlooks a waterhole where guests watch
the animals come to drink. Game drives and foot safaris reveal a variety
of wildlife and birds and at night, the sounds of the lion, hyaena and
jackal create the ambience of Africa, as you enjoy superb campfire
dinners in the ‘boma’ under the stars.
DAY FIVE
Up at sunrise and
out of the Lodge for your first game drive in the Kruger
National Park,
before your ‘bush’ breakfast. (B, D)
KRUGER NATIONAL PARK
The world-renowned Kruger
National Park
offers a wildlife
experience that ranks with the best in Africa
. Established in 1898 to
protect the wildlife of the South African Lowveld, this national park of
nearly 2 million hectares, is unrivalled in the diversity of its life
forms and a world leader in advanced environmental management techniques
and policies. Truly the flagship of the South African national parks,
Kruger is home to an impressive number of species: 336 trees, 49 fish,
34 amphibians, 114 reptiles, 507 birds and 147 mammals. Man's
interaction with the Lowveld environment over many centuries - from
bushman rock paintings to majestic archaeological sites like Masorini
and Thulamela - is very evident in the Kruger National Park
. These treasures
represent the cultures, persons and events that played a role in the
history of the Kruger National Park
and
are conserved along with the park's natural assets.
Game viewing for
the rest of the day, interrupted only with a stop for lunch. You are all
eyes to catch that special shot with your camera that will always be
treasured. Leave the park and on to Moholoholo Forest Camp, at
Mariepskop, for overnight. Arrive in time for the evening open
landrover drive and dinner in the ‘Boma’.
MOHOLOHOLO FOREST CAMP
Situated in the midst of a rain forest which is
surrounded by Acacia woodland, nestling on the slopes of ‘the very great
one’ known as Mariepskop in the majestic north eastern lowveld
Drakensberg mountains.
One of the special features of the Forest Camp is the
open viewing terrace, which overlooks the forest. A large variety of
forest animals such as Nyala, Red Duiker, Bush Buck, Samango Monkeys and
Bush Pigs can be watched as the browse the forest floor and visit the
waterhole. A maximum of 16 people can be accommodated in 8
well-appointed and secluded log and thatch en suite chalets, providing
the ultimate retreat. Delicious home cooked meals are served in either
the reed boma around a log fire or in the thatched dining room, which is
also ideal as a small conference facility.
The Wildlife Rehabilitation Center
at
Moholoholo contributes positively to the conservation of endangered
species and the rehabilitation of injured and poisoned wildlife.
Endangered cervals are bred here and released back into the wilds.
DAY SIX
Up at daybreak
for your morning walk in the bush: an opportunity for you to get
closer to nature,
followed by a hearty leisurely breakfast back at the Lodge, and a
guided tour of
the exciting and informative Wildlife Rehabilitation Center
,
where
vulture feeding
is often a part of the programme. A lunch and refreshment stop
will be made
en-route arriving back in Johannesburg
in
the late afternoon where
you will overnight for 1 night. (B)
DAY SEVEN
Today you will transfer to Sun City where you will
overnight for one night. (B)
DAY EIGHT
Today you will transfer to your hotel in Johannesburg for
2 nights. Enjoy an optional visit to Monte Casino which you can arrange
at your hotel. (B).
DAY NINE
Enjoy a half-day morning tour of Gold Reef City followed
by an afternoon tour of Soweto. Return to the hotel where you may spend
the remainder of the evening at your leisure. (B).
DAY TEN
Transfer to Johannesburg International Airport in time
for your flight home.
